Dr. Peter Erwin serves as ERPi’s Vice President for Healthcare Transformation. In this role, Peter leads the growth of ERPi’s client base and capabilities across federal healthcare agencies, including the Military Health System, the National Institutes of Health, and other Health and Human Services Operating Divisions.
Peter is driven by a passion for helping clients transform the practice and experience of health care for patients, providers, and clinical researchers in the most cost-effective and evidence-based manner. Peter has more than 20 years’ experience in management consulting, including senior roles with ERPi, Booz Allen Hamilton, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, and Grant Thornton.
Peter is a subject-matter expert in organizational development, large systems change, and business transformation and strategy. He has a PhD in the field of organizational development, as well as a BS degree, both from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He has published frequently cited original research on burnout in healthcare workers, occupational injury, and absenteeism. Peter serves as a member of the Adjunct Faculty in Georgetown University’s School of Nursing and Health Systems, where he teaches consulting and healthcare economics. When not solving complex problems for clients, Peter can be found with his wife or children, on a bike, or running along the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
