Tom Lapato serves as ERPi’s Vice President for Veterans Affairs, bringing distinguished leadership experience designing and integrating multidiscipline projects involving strategy, technology, and process and organizational improvement to federal healthcare, defense, and intelligence agencies, as well as to Fortune 500 corporations.
Tom has successfully managed 20 contracts at VA over the past five years spanning VA Central Office (VACO), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), and Veterans Health Administration (VHA), including VISNs 2 and 5.
Tom earned an MBA from Johns Hopkins University as well as an MS degree in National Resource Strategy from the Eisenhower School, National Defense University (NDU). At NDU, his research on DoD’s role in Foreign Economic Development won both the top research award and DoD’s Business Transformation Award. Tom earned Phi Beta Kappa induction through his undergraduate studies at Western Maryland College. He also was awarded All-American honors on the football field, culminating in his being named the Burger King Division III Scholar-Athlete of the Year and finalist for the Gagliardi Trophy, presented annually to the outstanding football player in NCAA Division III football. He is a proud husband and father who enjoys enriching his community.
